Icelandic writer

Eva Björg Ægisdóttir was born in 1988 in Akranes, where she grew up, and she uses her insight into small town life in her books. Eva Björg has been writing since she was young, and as a teenager she won a prize in a short story competition.

Eva Björg first came to the attention of Icelandic readers in 2018 when she won the Svartfuglinn competition, where new authors can submit crime story scripts. It was the crime writers Yrsa Sigurðardóttir and Ragnar Jónasson who founded the award in collaboration with the publishing house Veröld.
